Building and Duct Leakage
Alex’s summary: Choosing between The Energy Conservatory and Retrotec is like choosing between children. When it comes to building performance testing, you legitimately can’t go wrong with either. Generally speaking, Retrotec’s stuff is considered to be a little easier to use/learn while T.E.C.’s stuff is considered to be a little more accurate. If I had to choose one to recommend, it would depend on your business. I would say if you are in the HVAC business and moving to Building Science/Airflow Testing, T.E.C. makes the most sense (the True Flow being the big deciding factor). If you’re in Building Science/Energy Rating, Retrotec might be your guy (though it’s a bit closer on this one). But seriously, it really is hard to go wrong with either.
